A graduate of Arts décoratifs de Paris and Beaux Arts de Paris-Cergy, the work of Pauline Curnier Jardin is projected as a "Total Art Work", combining music, film, theater performance and sculpture. In 2014, the city of Karlsruhe invited Pauline Curnier Jardin to commemorate World War I. For the occasion, the visual artist seized with freedom a historical fact - the bombardment by the French Air Force of the city circus, in the middle of a performance - and created Blutbad Parade, a film in which she resurrects the ghosts of the circus by repopulating its phantasmagoria. The program for this "Nomadic Evening", where the characters on the screen will invite circus and war persona on stage : soldiers and circus performers, film and concerts, an Eskimo and a trunk man, jugglers and birds of prey.
