CultureSecrets invites you to a private evening at the Pathé Foundation! The program includes a visit to the exhibition "Comédie-Française and Cinema, back and forth" followed by a film-concert screening of silent films related to the exhibition, set to music by a pianist from Jean-François Zygel's improvisation class (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris).
Over the years, this union has been enriched by the creation and collaboration of each other. Directors and filmmakers, authors and screenwriters, actors and actresses, have offered the two arts a fine cast. Through a collection of unpublished archives, the exhibition reveals all the secrets of this history strewn with back and forth. Plays that become films, scripts inspired by or adapted from plays in the repertoire, scenes framed by the camera, directors who direct, the Comédie-Française and the cinema unite in a veritable diptych and allow us to see, in the foreground, these members who become actors or these actors who become members.
