In October 1922, Pathé launched a projector for home use. Designed for easy handling and family use, the Pathé-Baby was the first in a line of projectors that introduced "home cinema. The Pathé-Baby uses a new film format with reduced production costs, 9.5 mm, whose focus is inseparable from that of the projector. A film catalog was published. These were taken from the Pathé catalog and from many other productions. The films, which are cut and re-edited versions of the originals can be rented or sold.
