You might recognize him from the many movies he’s played in. It’s his award-winning role as a criminal realtor in Jacques Audiard’s movie “De Battre Mon Cœur S’est Arrêté” in 2005 that was the pinnacle of his acting career. Qualified by The Guardian magazine as "one of the most exciting actors of his generation – in France or anywhere else”, Romain Duris is also a visual artist. Join us for an evening centered around his new exhibit “Féroce” at the Galerie Cinéma Anne-Dominique Toussaint. He’ll share with us stories behind his new series of drawings. Produced by Artsper, this exhibit shows the duality of a man's face: sensuality and ferocity.
In his recent work, Romain Duris devotes considerable attention to people, to changing bodies that fiercely assert themselves. He swapped his colorful palette for dense and tortured lines of graphite. The artist’s characters stand out like a roaring cry.
