Associated for the first time with the Days Off festival, the Orchestre de Paris offers you a musical moment, on the occasion of the 11th edition of the Days Off festival at La Villette: the creation of a concerto for two pianos, by the brilliant composer of contemporary music, Nico Muhly. Attend this concert with your CultureSecrets pass !
Nico Muhly will present his fabulous "Planetarium," a program of songs inspired by... the solar system, from 2012 and 2017. Then, in exclusivity, the New York composer reserves for the Philharmonie de Paris "In Certain Circles", a concerto for two pianos, served by two of the greatest pianists of our time, Katia and Marielle Labèque. Enter the playground of curious and inventive musicians and discover this commissioned work by the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestre de Paris, which will also play Rachmaninov's "Symphonic Dances" and the wonderful piece "The Chairman Dances" by John Adams.
This concert is part of the Days Off festival program. Indian summer or not, this unmissable event, co-produced by La Villette and the Philharmonie de Paris, will light up your summer! Between pop, rock, electro and contemporary music, the wide and eclectic program remains true to its ambition, bringing together big names and discoveries, creations and tributes.
