We often forget that the drawing is an essential step in the creation of a jewel, it gives life to the idea! But what is its history, who are these artists and what are their techniques?
The exhibition will present about sixty drawings and several notebooks all from the Van Cleef & Arpels Jewelry Culture Fund. The selected works span a long nineteenth century, beginning in the 1760s and ending with the First World War, and were executed by numerous artists or designers, famous or anonymous.
