To know

Installed at the Grande Halle de Villette, the "Napoleon" exhibition follows the life of this complex historical figure, from his arrival at the age of 10, at the Brienne military academy, to his departure in exile on the island of Saint Helena.

Admired and controversial, victorious and defeated, heroic and tragic, the figure of Napoleon still fascinates our contemporaries. With such a romantic destiny, the exhibition co-produced by the Réunion des musées nationaux - Grand Palais, La Villette and Re Re / Adonis, traces not only the intimate life of the man, but also the shaping of the Republic, the Empire and the war. The Louvre, the castles of Versailles, Fontainebleau and Malmaison, the Mobilier national, the Musée de l'Armée-Invalides, the Fondation pour la mémoire de l'esclavage, are all partners and sponsors of this spectacular event!

The works of art from the past are combined with new technologies, making the tour both educational and immersive. You will cross the spectacular reconstitutions of the throne room with its luxury rooms, the campaign tent with its original furniture, and even the famous battle of Eylau with cannons, ammunition boxes and the projection on a giant screen of the impressive cavalry charge.
