Ulgador: the name sparkles and titillates the imagination, suggesting a kingdom of medieval and fantastic tale. This name, of pure invention, is built from that of Gabor Ulveczki to translate his know-how: the creation of decorative panels decorated with beaten oxidized metal sheets. The Ulgador workshop is classified as a "Living Heritage Company". In collaboration with his daughter Rahel, and many other craftsmen, he applies gold, silver and bronze leaves on glass, paper, wood or textile. He plays with the effects obtained by oxidation or corrosion processes to create surfaces with changing, vibrant, almost living colors.
Arranged in the rooms of the castle entrusted to the Center for National Monuments, the works of the Ulgador workshop dialogue with the formidable pieces of eighteenth-century furniture, chinoiseries, oriental objects of art. The panels, screens, wallpapers or table tops with various motifs offer visions of the Orient, echoes of art nouveau.
The refinement and elegance of Ulgador's custom projects have conquered the world of luxury.
