Georgia O'Keeffe, an icon of modern art, is the most expensive female artist in the world and the first to be exhibited at MoMA in New York. However, when she showed her paintings in 1923, the art world went crazy. Giant flowers, carnal petals, exuberant pistils... Her sulphurous representations are controversial. The erotic images and the supposed sexual symbols are far from federating the critic.
