Discover "Liberté d'action", a concert staged on a text by Henri Michaux as part of the Festival d'Automne.
A great reader, Heiner Goebbels has drawn on the sources of authors such as Alain Robbe-Grillet, Heiner Müller, Elias Canetti, Samuel Beckett, Gertrude Stein... This time he appeals to Henri Michaux, to his corrosive humor: "I can't say what fascinates me more in his work, the poems, the paintings or the drawings. For anyone willing to follow Henri Michaux, it is a luminous pleasure". A simple stage set-up: two pianos, one in the courtyard and the other in the garden, with a table at the back of the stage where sound and electronic tools are placed, such is the space reserved for the virtuoso actor David Bennent to transmit Michaux's text in French and German. The two pianists of the Ensemble Modern, long-time interpreters of Heiner Goebbels' works, serve a score written especially for them.
