#ART CultureSecrets invites you for a day at the Drawing Now Art Fair, the first contemporary art fair dedicated to contemporary drawing in Europe.
For its 16th edition, no less than 70 galleries including 21 international ones and 300 artists have been selected. Visit the fair and enjoy this panorama of drawing from the last fifty years.
Drawing Now Art Fair is a way to discover a selection of galleries, each more different than the last. The latter are divided into three sectors: "General" welcomes the most famous galleries, with a focus on one of the artists they accompany. Insight" allows visitors to discover lesser-known talents. Finally, "Process" offers an in vivo experimentation of contemporary drawing and its creative process.
In addition, a new course is initiated during this new edition. Entitled "Parallaxe," it proposes works that enrich the visitors' view of contemporary drawing and broaden the horizon of this rich discipline.
New events are also organized such as the exhibition "The Feminine Prism: Machines, Oocytes, Threads, Potions" which takes a gendered and provocative look at contemporary drawing by exploring four historically feminine fields: technology, the sexual/reproductive body, textile work and knowledge of nature. Or the Drawing Now Prize, awarded at the opening of the show, to support a drawing artist and recognize the work of his or her gallery.
But this fair is also a place to meet with professionals of contemporary drawing around talks and interviews of artists. From performance to the place of women, each year new themes enrich the discussions.
