#ART With CultureSecrets, chat with French artist LUKAS about his exhibition "Escale" at the brand new Hey-You gallery. Inspired by his childhood spent between Europe, Africa and Asia, take a look. His paintings plunge us into a bath of singular, unique and vibrant colors.
Lukas is a self-taught French artist whose paintings have been presented in numerous solo exhibitions nationally and internationally. According to him, "the expression of an artist is the reflection of the relationship he has with the world of today but also that of tomorrow". Thus, guided by the collective unconscious or archetypes of Carl G. Jung, his art seems to translate a certain urgency towards the modern world.
Imbued with atmospheres and diverse cultures, he mixes in his works, natural elements, primary and post-industrial artifacts, mutants and supernatural beings, all connected by the thread of a graphic design with lines and curves borrowed from "street art.
He also relies on color and sensations encountered throughout his life to reach a wide audience with a very simple style. In perpetual search of perfection and sharing with his public, he realizes paintings translating each one a moment, a particular inspiration.
