#ART Enjoy a private tour of the new "Le Langage du corps" exhibition at the Fab. - agnès b. A look, a smile, a shrug... Between gentleness, beauty and violence, the language of the body is expressed here through the works of some sixty artists, both emblematic and enigmatic, from Peter Hujar to Tracey Emin, via Larry Clark, Malick Sidibé and Niki de Saint Phalle.
Art historian and critic Alain Cueff writes: "From its beginning to its end, in its silhouette and features, a body is already a whole story.
Through drawings, paintings, sculptures, photographs, films and videos linked to the theme of body language, the exhibition observes the social body, the functions, gestures and behaviors that reveal it, the order and poetry that result, and the representation of the body in space, be it nature, the city or the enclosed space. The body in art then becomes subject, object, support, measure and material, which the artist, as he sees fit, questions, sublimates or derides. It is because he represents his own body or that of others that Man has an image of himself and a place in the world.
