From 1 to 15 December, Christie's will be presenting the Joaillerie Paris sale, featuring almost 250 lots and highlighting three key themes that have been the playground of the leading jewellery houses on Place Vendôme: bestiary in jewellery and totem animals, flowers as an inexhaustible source of inspiration, and fine pearls as an invitation to travel. In addition to this selection, the Jewellery department has assembled several remarkable collections, including a princely one from Austria featuring exquisite jewellery dating from the 19th century, including a rare pair of multi-gem and diamond acrostic bracelets. Collectors should also be enchanted by three pieces of jewellery from Marie-Hélène de Rothschild, including a rare pair of yellow gold earrings by Claude Lalanne, produced in an edition of 30. Or a rare collection of around ten pieces by Boivin and Suzanne Belperron, inspired by nature and animals.
